Slates 1.0 First release · coming soon to the Mac App Store

Eight color-coded scratchpads for quick capture. Stored locally by default, with optional iCloud sync.

• Eight slates in one window, each with its own color for header, card, and chrome.
• Plain, Rich, and Code modes: Markdown headings and emphasis that render as you type, syntax highlighting for more than 40 languages, and smart bullets that click through a cycle.
• Copy any slate in one click, or Copy & Clear when a one-time code has done its job.
• Focus one slate, or see them all as a vertical list or a horizontal strip. Drag slates by their headers to reorder, and hide the ones you are not using.
• Live in the Dock, the menu bar, or both.
• Optional iCloud sync, off until you turn it on.
• Automatic local backups, plus Save Backup and Restore Backup.
• Built-in palettes, including Slates Dark and Slates Light, and per-slate appearance.
• No analytics.

Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
